Birkenstock has returned with a brand new set of sandals. Following its collaboration with BEAMS on the Zurich from last month, the German footwear label has unveiled its Kyoto silhouette, a new mold that embraces a clean, understated design.
Coming in colorways of “Taupe,” “Ultra Blue,” "Navy," "Mocha," "Sand" and "Desert Sage," each pair of slides has been fully covered in finely textured suede. The Kyoto comes with an adjustable velcro strap and loop closure at the very top in contrasting full-grain leather, allowing wearers to adjust the fit to their liking. To keep the design as minimal as possible, just two overlapping suede flaps make up the rest of the uppers, finished off by a pair of silver-toned rivets at the lower lateral sides. All of these details rest over an organic cork footbed that's accompanied by a cushioned EVA outsole for optimal comfort and stability.
