After presenting a vibrant patchwork cagoule at the top of the month, Engineered Garments has partnered with KEEN for a UNEEK 2 slide. The first collaboration between Japanese brand and US shoemaker, this backless closed-toe sandal combines KEEN's stripped-back ethos with EG's notable attention to detail.

Structure is provided by woven black cords, each equipped with a white Engineered Garments logo. These are anchored to the footbed, tied in a knot where a seam would normally appear on a piece of traditional footwear and then come to rest on a black EVA hood with a debossed KEEN logo. These compelling cords boast another feature as well, namely that they're sustainably crafted from recycled plastic bottle fibers. Footbeds offer co-branded detailing, and a PU midsole with a laser-cut rubber outsole ensure the base is both comfortable and durable to complete the look.
