Continuing its hot streak of collaborations after teaming up with The North Face for a FW19 capsule collection, ROA for a vibrant SS20 footwear collaboration, and Timex for a 40mm Fabric Strap Watch, Los Angeles-based streetwear imprint Brain Dead apparently has a collaboration with Reebok Classic brewing behind the scenes. As teased by designer/founder Kyle Ng on Instagram, the shoe looks to be a spin on the Reebok Classic Leather, updating the iconic silhouette with a slew of fuzzy materials in earthy tones.

The shoe’s upper flips the original tumbled leather upper for a robust mesh, with the paneled cages that run through the mid-foot sections utilizing a clay-colored suede, while the panels running parallel to the lacing system have been crafted in shaggy brown suede. The same brown suede is featured on the tongue, which features a vibrant yellow tag with Brain Dead’s Head motif, as well as purple accents on the lining. The laces have been provided in an equally fuzzy material in yellow, with the original “Reebok” branding tag on the shoe’s lateral side replaced with Brain Dead’s typographic ogo.
