Henry Cavill attends "The Witcher" World Premiere

It seems we haven’t seen the last of Henry Cavill‘s Man of Steel. According to Variety, the actor is in talks to return as Clark Kent in an upcoming DC movie.

That movie won’t be a standalone film, though. Warner Bros. is not developing a Man of Steel sequel and Superman isn’t expected to make a cameo in Matt Reeves’ The Batman either. However, the character is expected to appear in DC’s Shazam! 2, Black Adam, and Aquaman 2, which are the next productions slated once Covid-19 filming restrictions lift.

Indeed, in a Men’s’ Health December cover story, Cavill revealed, “The cape is still in the closet,” he said. “It’s still mine. I’m not going to sit quietly in the dark as all the stuff is going on. I’ve not given up the role. There’s a lot I have to give for Superman yet.”

Warner Bros. and Cavill’s reps haven’t confirmed the rumors yet. Keep it here for updates.
