After recently joining the "Planet of Hoops" pack, Nike Sportswear's classic Air Flight '89 is back in another bold makeup: "Regency Purple." Between its bright retro hues and classic late '80s Nike design lines, the "Regency Purple" is a colorful blast from the past and an appealing lifestyle update to a one time performance shoe worn by the great Scottie Pippen.

5/8 cut leather uppers are dressed in rich "Regency Purple," with the Swooshes and forefoot overlay trim taking on a bright "Oracle Aqua" tone. Red speckles on the collar plus red heel and tongue branding add a touch of vibrance that wouldn't look out-of-place on an early '90s NikeCourt product like the Air Tech Challenge II. Down below, Air Jordan 4-style midsoles with a clear Air Max unit mix purple and black in equal measures. The look is completed by a teal/black outsole and black laces.

The Nike Air Flight '89 "Regency Purple" is almost completely sold out at Japanese retailers like atmos, but will likely hit stateside stockists like Foot Locker in the coming weeks. The MSRP is set at $120 USD.
