Quentin Tarantino Names His Top Films of the Last Decade

Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino recently shared his opinion on the best films of the last decade, naming David Fincher’s The Social Network (2010) the best picture of the past ten years.

Tarantino discussed the movie in a new interview with French film magazine Premiere. “It’s The Social Network, hands down…it is number one because it’s the best, that’s all! It crushes all the competition,” he proclaimed.

Directed by Fincher and written by Aaron Sorkin — who Tarantino dubbed “the greatest active dialogist” — The Social Network details the creation of Facebook by Mark Zuckerberg. The movie stars Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Rooney Mara, and Armie Hammer, and was nominated for eight Oscars, winning Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Editing, and Best Original Score.

Following The Social Network, Tarantino has named Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk the second best movie of the decade. The 2017 war picture centers around the Dunkirk evacuation of World War II.

Tarantino himself has released numerous films since 2010 — including Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood — but notably left them off his top movies list.
