After dropping two well-received colorways of the Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 at the tail end of March, Stüssy and Nike Sportswear are back with a third style of the early '00s silhouette. Dubbed the "Black/Cool Grey," this new makeup offers a lifestyle-geared build and a stark colorway, taking a onetime high-speed running sneaker and turning it into a perfect style for the streets.

Most versions of the Steven Smith-designed Spiridon model use a mesh upper with sleek synthetic overlays, but this fresh Stüssy iteration swaps out the synthetics for rough-hewn textiles on the rear half and all the overlays. Swooshes take on a textile construction as well, and the entire upper is dressed in black for a monochromatic look. A small touch of extra Stüssy branding appears via debossed patches on the tongue and heel, working with a final spell-out on the toe bumper.

Down below, slim Phylite midsoles are dressed in contrasting "Cool Grey." The heel's signature cage is built of black TPU, and houses an opaque grey Zoom Air cushioning unit. Two-tone BRS 1000 rubber outsoles complete the look. The shoes will also be accompanied by a limited-edition "Increase the Peace" t-shirt that combines one of Stüssy's signature slogans with Nike's recognizable block font and a co-branded beanie.

The Stüssy x Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 in "Black/Cool Grey" is set to release on the Stüssy webstore come May 15, and is priced at $160 USD. The T-shirt and beanie's MSRPs have not yet been revealed, and a wider release of the capsule may follow in later weeks.
