Doodles, scribbles and sketches are all important parts of a sneaker's design process, and although they don't usually see the spotlight, Nike Sportswear's Air Force 1 "Sketch" puts them front and center. The AF1 "Sketch" has already released in "White/Black" and "Black/White" colorways, but now it's scheduled to receive its most sporty makeup yet: a "Racer Blue"-accented style.

In line with past makeups, the base of this sketched Air Force 1 is constructed of classic tumbled leather — here presented in a crisp white. Hand drawn-style "Racer Blue" embellishments are then scattered across the upper, ranging from a large Swoosh on the lateral quarter to outlined text branding on the heel. There's also a small Swoosh embroidered on the lateral side as well as a proliferation of technical text, ranging from "Variable Width Lacing System" to "Nike Air Force 1" and "1982," the year the Force first came to market.

Branded tongue tags add a final touch of flair to the top half, while the midsole offers the outline of a heel Air unit over its standard embossed branding. This nods to the Force's hidden cushioning technology, referenced by a "Midsole Nike Air Unit" hit complete with an arrow to erase any lingering doubt.

These sumptuously sketched Air Force 1s will release at retailers like Nike GB in the coming weeks, and are priced at £85 GBP (approximately $105 USD).
