After Mountain Research recently reconceptualized Reebok's DMX Trail Shadow, the collaborative partners are back once again — and this time, the two have moved from snowy peaks to the endless cosmos with a special Alien Stomper. Simple in its color scheme but technical in its embellishments, this high-end take on a onetime movie prop is vastly divergent from the Stomper's past styles, making for an interesting juxtaposition of Japanese fashion, British footwear and American entertainment.

Built entirely from stark, supple white leather in both smooth and perforated iterations, the high-cut uppers feature a ribbed tongue and are secured with a signature Velcro shroud-and-strap combo. Upon and around this secure fit system is where most of the unique details appear. Black "Keep Strapped to Hold Firmly" text replaces standard Reebok branding on the throat, and a duo of motifs grace the collar: "Keep In a Safe Place" on the lateral side, "Fold and Turn Over After Going Through Eyelet" on the medial side.

All three of these embellishments provide a built-in instruction manual of sorts, but not all the motifs are serious. Heels state "Never Been To the Moon," and ME's signature “civil disobedience anarchists mountaineers saunterer + punks” hits the inner tongue label, while the outer half offers the brand's mountain graphic. Reebok text logos on the top strap and midsole finalize the look.
