Technical in its build but utilitarian in its style, Jordan Brand's Delta has now released in a crisp "Jade Aura" colorway. Furthering the conceptual ethos espoused on previous silhouettes like the Proto React and Apex Utility, the Delta switches things up from its predecessors with a low-top cut that's perfect for warm-weather wear.
With a mixture of mesh and synthetic panels, the upper presents a deconstructed, Virgil Abloh-esque style, here with a light jade tint. Forefoot overlays and heel counters add structure with grey suede — smooth on the former, perforated on the latter — and the exposed foam tongue adds further to the green-toned assemblage.
Bright pops of red appear on the asymmetrical tongue tabs, each of which offers different branding: numbers on the left foot, "Jumpman" on the right. Straight heel tabs and the rear's modernized iteration of an Air Jordan ball-and-wings logo bring more red into the mix, offering a hidden contrast with the insole embellishments. Cushioning is provided by a full-foot light green React midsole with a grooved design. A noodled green rubber outsole with a large red Jumpman logo finalizes the look with a pop of timeless flair.
The Jordan Delta "Jade Aura" is available on Nike Japan now and retails for a tax-included price of ¥15,400 JPY (approximately $143 USD).
