Kanye "Ye" West's YEEZY brand is going through a period of semi-dysfunction at the moment, as Ye's controversial new CEO and new YEEZY headquarters are getting situated in Los Angeles while Ye visits Japan. In fact, as first-look imagery of two new YEEZY spaces is suddenly revealed, everything YEEZY-related remains in a period of flux.

Well, here's what we do know. First, a look at the purported YEEZY workspace set up in Los Angeles' Cornerstone Christian Church church, where Ye reportedly has a couple local seamstresses hand-stitching his new YEEZY clothes.

Imagery of the YEEZY workshop — it's too small and weird to be called a factory — reveals racks of white clothes, seemingly nothing but T-shirts and pants. These shots were taken around the same time as the premiere of The Trouble With KanYe, a June 29 BBC documentary that explored the anti-Semitic tirades and white nationalists that Ye began platforming in late 2022.

The rumored YEEZY sample garments visible in the photos align with the minimalist YEEZY SEASON 10 fashion shows surreptitiously held in May. There, the only clothes on display were skin-tight T-shirts, black trousers, and several pairs of the weird sock-shoe things that Ye has worn constantly over the past couple months in place of sneakers.

Next, on June 30, paparazzi snapped a couple quick shots of the alleged YEEZY headquarters in downtown LA, just a few doors down from an adidas store (no official word on that second YEEZY sneaker sale, BTW). These are your first and only glimpses into the new YEEZY (or YZY) space until it eventually opens in late 2023 or early 2024, so soak it in.

Though it's still under construction, YEEZY HQ is probably not going to get any less barren — Ye likes his sparse showrooms, after all.

Main things to note from this first peek inside YEEZY HQ — it's still unconfirmed exactly what this space will be, whether it's a store, an office, both, or neither — include the tall ceilings, raw untreated floor, and ample support beams. Expect those to all remain basically unchanged.

Meanwhile, as YEEZY things happen in Los Angeles, Ye and wife Bianca Censori are strolling around Tokyo, he in his sweats and socks, she in a leotard with kitten-heeled mules.

Note Ye's T-shirt, presumably a preview of some future YEEZY clothes: its "SAINT OF WHORES CATHOLIC SCHOOL" print, an original bit of graphic design that's already driven discourse on Ye-adjacent forums.

It's also pretty hard to imagine anyone getting nearly as excited about this thing as they were about YEEZY GAP just a mere few months ago.

On the other hand, now that Ye is freed from his professional partnerships, he's able to design all the inflammatory layering pieces he'd like. Ye will even soon have a dedicated YEEZY store to sell them in, to boot.
